On A.SPIRE September agenda: The European Research and Innovation Days!

The R&I Days are going to take place on 22-24 September and A.SPIRE will be presenting the upcoming Processes4Planet Partnership at this year virtual event.

Europe aims to become the first climate neutral continent, with a fully circular economy by 2050. This common goal requires urgent actions and a systemic mobilisation from countries and organisations. R&I Days will bring together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to discuss on how to make this vision happen in these unprecedented times.

Partnerships will play a leading role in this scenario. On September 23rd at 2 pm the European Research and Innovation Days will host the panel “European Partnerships – Stepping up the game” on how Partnerships visions will be transformative, impactful and relevant to shape a resilient, inclusive and sustainable Europe.

Àngels Orduña Cao, Executive Director of A.SPIRE, will be a speaker at this event. She will showcase Processes4Planet ambitious goals for 2030 and programme design elements crucial to achieve more impact with the upcoming Horizon Europe launch. She will contribute in portraying how European Partnerships are stepping up the efforts to facilitate the transitions Europe needs with P4Planet case, that ensures agility and cross-sectoral collaboration.

Her session, alongside the other speakers’ ones, will continue a high-level discussion in R&I Days last year.

In the same panel moderated by Darja Isaksson (Vinnova), will intervene:

  • [Biodiversity] Hilde Eggermont, Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO)

  • [expert] Henric Johnson, Embassy of Sweden in the US, Stanford University

  • [high-level policy-maker] Brune Poirson, Janez Potočnik, former European Union Commissioner and the co-chair of the International Resource Panel (UN)

We look forward to taking part in this event and debate the future of Research and Innovation in Europe and beyond.
