Ms Dorota Pawlucka is the new Chairperson of A.SPIRE.
With over 20 years of experience in research and innovation collaboration, Ms Pawlucka is currently Strategic EU Programme Lead at Covestro AG (Germany), a global player in the field of polymer materials. Ms Pawlucka is the first woman President in the history of the association.
Ms Pawlucka opened her first speech as the association’s President, at the A.SPIRE Open Stakeholders’ Session on 27 May 2026, by acknowledging the legacy of the role and thanking all those who have been leading A.SPIRE so far and have built the strong foundation we stand on today, and by reaffirming her firm conviction that inclusive leadership is a necessity. “We will only succeed if all of us succeed together”, our President continued.
Our President also discussed the manifold challenges the European Process Industries are facing. However, as stated in our bold 2040 Innovation4Competitiveness Vision, she reaffirmed the industries’ choice to lead, compete, innovate and act decisively. One of the cornerstones of Ms Pawlucka’s Presidency will be the development of a new Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda that is ambitious, strategic, cross-sectoral, built for flexibility and capable of responding to geopolitical and economic shifts as they unfold. She explained that we must co-design a partnership connected to EU instruments, aligned with the priorities of the Commission and Member States, and built for the scale and pace that our sectors require. Furthermore, with our new President, we will build the best possible bridges from research to industrial deployment, through partnerships, flagship initiatives, and a relentless focus on scaling innovation.
Our new President concluded:
“I pledge to serve with transparency, inclusiveness, and an unwavering focus on our success. Together, we will shape a Next-Generation Partnership fit for Europe's new industrial reality. Together, we will position our process industries as global champions rooted in Europe.”
We heartily and proudly welcome Ms Dorota Pawlucka. Together, we will implement the A.SPIRE 2040 Vision, for an industrial renaissance, and a sustainable, competitive Process Industry supporting an autonomous Europe.
