This week, WP5 from the Threading-CO₂ project took part in Duuniday, a recruitment and networking event organized by LUT University. The event brought together companies, research initiatives, and students to explore career paths, innovation, and future opportunities.

During the event, the WP5 team introduced students to the core vision of Threading-CO₂: transforming captured carbon dioxide into sustainable textile fibers. By converting CO₂ into raw materials for fabric manufacturing, the project aims to contribute to the replacement of fossil-based resources and advance cutting-edge carbon utilization technologies.

Students also had the opportunity to learn about the educational efforts of WP5, including the development of freely accessible online courses that dive into carbon capture, utilization, and sustainable industrial processes. These courses are available through the LUT MOOC platform at https://mooc.lut.fi/.

Participating in Duuniday allowed the Threading-CO₂ team to connect with future professionals, spark discussions about climate-positive innovations, and inspire interest in emerging technologies that could help shape a more circular and sustainable industry.
